When people see our resplendent, new Gardner Group Luxury Home Creations, they often ask if they can contract for our interior design services independently,  either on remodels of their existing homes, on new construction projects not being managed by Gardner Group, or even for simply ordering furniture. Happily, the answer is YES!

Felicity Gardner is the tastemaker behind the Gardner Group looks you’ve loved for years.  Now, all that talent, skill and know-how is available to everyone.  With a proven range from contemporary to traditional, Felicity is excited to enhance the beauty and functionality of your upcoming project.

In Felicity’s own words, “Design for me is a process that nourishes and talks to the senses; the luxurious feel and comfort of the perfect sofa, neutral tones throughout the home that create harmony, consistency and an organic feel. How you feel about the space is as important as the way it looks.”

“The Sofa Makes a Big Statement in any Room.”

I wanted to find one that was divinely comfortable, affordable, and with timeless good looks for my clients.  Over a hundred sofas later I finally sunk into the perfect one, made by an established Danish company called Eilersen who originally started making coaches in 1895.

Eilersen make their sofas by hand using the best quality raw materials and craftsmanship so you’ll have your sofa forever, which you’ll definitely want.  Like all top brand European sofas, Eilersen have removable covers so it is easy to replace them.  In Europe, they never throw out sofas, they simply replace the covers.

All Eilersen sofas can be ordered with a chaise so your feet have a nice, soft place to land whilst catching up with your favorite TV shows, reading or simply having a nap.

I used Eilersen sofas for my last two Showcase homes because they look so stylish and inviting.  The sectional sofa is available in components so it can be ordered to fit your room and seating requirements perfectly.  Eilersen customer service is excellent too, which is an important consideration for an interior designer who needs furniture to show up on time and in great shape.

“A Freestanding Bath Inspires a Wonderful Feeling of Self-Indulgence in the Midst of our Busy Lives.”

The curve of this beautiful tub brings a soft contrast to an otherwise angular bathroom; it is a sculptural piece in itself.

I positioned the bath to sit right in front of the window where I imagined someone taking a long soak whilst gently resting their head against tub and enjoying the sun sink over the mountains or the snow falling gently on a winter’s night.

In this bathroom there are bottom up, top down rattan shades which can be lowered for a clear view of the raw nature outside as well as offering plenty of privacy.  I love the relaxed, informal, lightweight feeling of rattan blinds: their soft, neutral, organic tones add texture to any bathroom.  An added plus is that the blinds are easy to clean and maintain as they don’t gather dust easily.

The simple walnut cabinetry adds warmth and an organic feel to this mountain bathroom. I kept the glass tile in the shower simple because I wanted the focus to be on the richness of the travertine tile and views of the ever changing landscape outside. The colors of nature were my inspiration for the color palette in this bathroom, and the palette was continued into the guest bedroom.

“I Love Good Conversation so I Arranged the Bar Stools Facing Each Other.”

I envisioned most informal meals would be eaten at the kitchen island, whilst enjoying the dramatic views of the rugged mountains. In the summer, the owners are able to enjoy an al fresco dining feeling with the doors wide open. I love good conversation so I arranged the bar stools facing each other for face to face contact. I think this is a much better arrangement than sitting in a line looking at the cooktop.  Sitting in a circle goes back to our roots, when we all sat around a fire eating and exchanging thoughts and ideas.

The chairs had to be comfortable for long leisurely breakfasts and lunches, so I selected leather stools with a back which could swivel and easily be adjusted for all body types.

“I Like to Link the Outdoors to the Indoors, and to Decorate the Two Areas as One.”

It is also well worth your time to shop around and find functional, comfortable and durable outdoor furniture that works with the rest of your home. If you’re not comfortable sitting in your outdoor seats you won’t spend much time on your deck, or invite people over to join you. Strong social connections are important for your health and well-being, so it is well worthwhile investing in your outdoor spaces!

TESTIMONIALS

“The sofas and chairs are so beautiful. I cannot get over the quality of these pieces. I am so happy with how they turned out. My only regret is that I didn’t shop there for the sectional I bought for downstairs. Thank you for all your help!”

– Lisa, Park City

“Thank you so much for the lovely job you did on my home. I’m very pleased with the decor and the elegant yet comfortable feeling it exudes.  I received many compliments on the staging.  My home was under contract with a full price offer the day after my first Open House. You’re brilliant!”

– Bessie, Park City

“Felicity of the Gardner Group was instrumental in helping us design and decorate our wonderful new modern dream house.  I can’t imagine doing it without her.  After spending many days with us fine tuning the details we would never even think of, she would narrow down to two options to choose from which was an immense help in getting our home finished in the best time possible.  From choosing luxury designer extremely comfortable couches, to choosing the style of a toilet paper holder, Felicity was there every step of the way helping us build an amazing Designer home. The Gardner Group was with us every step of the way.  Even now, 1.5 years later, they are immediately responsive and help with any questions, changes, or fixes that arise.  The amazing support and follow up cannot be beat.  The Gardner Group truly builds and designs a home as though they themselves are going to be living there and pay attention to every single detail.  I could not think of a better group to work with if you are looking to build and design a new custom home, or to remodel your current home.”

“What’s wonderful about working with Felicity Gardner:

  • Her incredible eye for beautiful things, beautifully placed, and beautifully coordinated.
  • Her understanding of the term, ‘budget,’ and her willingness to work to stay within it.
  • Her total lack of snobbery:  if the entry hall rug from (imagine this!) Home Depot looks as good or better than the one from you-name-it fancy design house, why invest in something that’s only going to be trampled upon by snowy boots?
  • Her depth of knowledge of available resources, here in Park City, down in Salt Lake, across the US and throughout Europe.
  • Her warmth and personal charm: there’s no such thing as too much time in Felicity’s company…and you will spend a lot of time with your designer, whether you’re doing a single room or an entire home.”

“I have known Felicity for many years and have seen all the homes she and Murray have created. They are amazing!!! Felicity is passionate about her work and it shows. She has her own fantastic ideas but is also adaptable to the tastes of her clients. She is very knowledgeable and has many contacts so is able to acquire great pieces at good prices. My budget was less grand than that of the homes she usually does, but she was no less caring or creative with me. I love the colors she picked and by simply rearranging what I already owned she made my home look newer and much cleaner. I would recommend her to anyone!”

– Deborah S.

“We can’t thank Felicity enough for all the help that she provided us in outfitting our new home. We could not be happier with the way the project turned out and know that we would have been completely lost without her. Felicity has a seemingly endless list of suppliers and products from which to draw ideas and she presented her suggestions in an organized thoughtful manner allowing us to compare and contrast. Throughout the process, Felicity never lost patience with us (how she did that I’m not sure?) and always brought new and fresh ideas to the project all the while valuing our input and ideas (no matter how outlandish they may have seemed!). Five stars for Felicity Gardner Interior Design!!”

FOR WHOLE HOME INTERIOR DESIGN PROJECTS, Our Process Makes it Simple and Beautiful.

We spend time with each client in the process of discovery, talking about your life, your taste, your style, and your dreams for your new space.

We absorb all your ideas and come back with an overall idea or concept. This often takes the form of boards showing general colors, styles, textures, feeling of the whole project. It is important to discuss room and furniture layouts, fireplace designs, outdoor entertaining areas and other details at this early planning stage to ensure they are included in the architectural plans.

In addition to the overall look, Felicity creates a flow for your space. Once this first step is agreed to by all, we are Off!

After a concept is established, the details need to be honed and the materials specified to bring the idea to life throughout the space. Exactly what is specified at this phase depends upon the nature of the project.

Felicity Gardner Interior Design has the contacts and the capabilities to specify all the necessary categories and make for a complete, seamless final design:

Interior Finishes:  Appliances, A/V, Cabinetry and Hardware, Countertops, Doors and Hardware, Lighting, Fireplaces, Flooring, Mantle, Mouldings, Paint Colors, Plumbing Fixtures, Tubs and Showers, Stairs and Railings, Tile

Exterior Finishes:  Chimney, Decking, Fascia, Front Door, Garage Door, Outdoor Lighting, Patios, Railings, Roofing, Siding, Soffit, Stone, Stucco, Windows, Window Trim.

Furnishings:   Furniture, Lamps, Accessories, Mirrors, Artwork.

During this phase we work closely with your architect to develop construction Documents. If you don’t have an architect yet, don’t worry, we do!

Once the project is underway, we work closely with your chosen General Contractor to ensure that all the specified items are installed per plan, that they function correctly and that they look beautiful. We are “on call” to make site visits and work closely with all vendors, tradesmen and sub contractors to make sure our carefully laid plans are executed brilliantly. We obsess about every detail, a trademark of the Gardner Group brand.

Once construction is done, the final fun begins. Furniture is moved in and arranged with care. Artwork is hung. Any last minute touch-ups are arranged. Any remaining accessories are chosen and placed. After everything is perfectly staged, we take professional photographs. For most of our clients, it is an emotional experience when they see the final creation all put together.

OUR A LA CARTE SERVICES Cover the Gamut.

We are excited to help make your home more beautiful and functional down to every detail.
